Ozeaneum Stralsund

2010_05_21_pano_ozeaneum_jm_schlorke_img_3679The Ozenaeum is located on a small island in the old town. It provides an interesting insight into the life below the surface of the oceans. The exhibition area has a size of 8,700 m2. Here live more than 7,000 aquatic animals and aquatic plants in 39 tanks with a total water volume of 6,000,000 liters. The Oceaneum was in 2010, “Museum of the Year” in Europe.

World Heritage Exhibition

SONY DSCThe World Heritage exhibition  shows the conditions to get the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Since 2002, the towns of Wismar and Stralsund carry this item. Take a look to the two World Heritage Cities and to the Programm of UNESCO.

Gorch Fock

She allows an insight into life on board of an old historical ship. Take a look in the officers’ mess and in the accommodation, the captain salon or the card room. Discover history and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a traditional sailing ship.
